A new chapter
into the old age

This project involved remodeling an apartment for a couple planning to retire within the next five years. The primary challenges were addressing the lack of storage space and creating a more logical and efficient spatial layout.
To achieve this, a circular circulation path was designed around a central multifunctional block. This block not only provided the much-needed storage but also enabled the kitchen to receive natural light and ventilation. Additionally, it allowed the kitchen to be closed off when needed, while maintaining a visual connection to the dining and living areas.
A distinctive feature of the project is the use of color-coding in the rooms, aimed at enhancing spatial awareness and helping the elderly residents easily navigate their home.
